turkeeeey day

i think it's really interesting that most times i talk to people about thanksgiving.. the only thing they can talk about is all the food - and granted, i love food. seriously. i. LOVE. food. but anyways... the thing i was so excited about this year was to just see my family. my brother and sister in law came in from fresno on sunday to indianapolis where my other brother and sister in law live.. it's been over a year since we've all seen each other together! all i cared about was getting to indy this week and then cincinnati to see dad :)
i wish more people realized how blessed they were to have their family members.. i know for some that's harder, but for the people who are blessed... seriously, the food isn't important. sure it's delicious, but would it really be that good without good family and/or friends around? i doubt it. it's only 1030 here.. and all i can think about, is it 4 yet?? i just want everyone to get here already! i love love LOVE this holiday.. for the fact that i get to see all of my family (mom's family is tomorrow!) and just reflect on all the great things i've been blessed with.
alright, off my soap box now :)
i hope y'all have a great thanksgiving and a safe trip to and from wherever you will be traveling :)

"enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. for the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations." psalm 100: 4-5
